Cosmetic Dermatology

Cosmetic dermatology is a section where doctors diagnose and treat patient their skin-related condition cosmetically.  The doctor dealing with cosmetic dermatology is called a cosmetic dermatologist. They are usually qualified in skills like Botox, collagen injections, chemical peels, dermabrasion, laser surgery, and liposuction. Generally, this is meant to give you a natural and better outer appearance.

Cosmetic Dermatology Procedures

Following are a couple of common cosmetic dermatology procedures done by a dermatologist :

1. CoolSculpting-

Cosmetic Dermatology
Botulinum toxin(Botox)

It is a procedure that uses low temperature to reduce pockets of fat in the abdomen (muffin top), flanks (love handles), arms, inner thighs,  bra (back) fat areas, and in the chin. It is equipped with CoolFit, CoolCore, CoolCurve+, CoolMini and two machines (Dual CoolSculpting) to deliver faster treatments.

2. Injectable fillers-

Aging makes our face lose volume, resulting in wrinkles, hollow areas, facial sagging, under-eye dark circles, sagging cheeks and even the folds between our nose and the corners of our mouth become more noticeable. Frown lines form and lip lines appear too. One way to improve volume loss is to inject fillers into areas of the face that have lost volume due to aging.

3. Tattoo removal-

Tattoos of varying colors, design and length are possible for removal by laser light that produces a beam of light which has a specific biological target.

4. Microdermabrasion Facials and Chemical Peels-

This facial helps renew your skin by removing dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells. Chemical peel gently exfoliates the skin surface by the application of a chemical substance such as glycolic acid (AHA) or salicylic acid (BHA).

5. Microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy)-

This process uses tiny, sharp needles to create a microscopic wound in the skin that induces collagen renewal and reparative processes. It has become exceedingly popular all over the world due to its easy accessibility, relatively low cost for wrinkles, scars and overall texture of the skin.

6. Hair loss solution-

It uses a treatment like KFP with MICRONEEDLING of the scalp and affected areas of low hair density to initiate a strong remodeling of the skin. At the same time, massaging a high concentration of the KFP formula into the affected area takes place, assisting in the delivery of growth factors. Also, skin proteins that help promote stronger, smoother, thicker, and fuller-looking hair.

7. Laser hair removal-

Laser energy is a proven method to reduce unwanted hair from your skin. Energy from the laser interacts with the pigment in hair but not the pigment in the skin. This helps them to remove the hair without heating the skin.

8. Skin tightening-

It is a method of compacting the collagen you have while stimulating new collagen to grow around it. This helps to firm the skin.  Tissue tightening is possible for nearly all parts of the body and face.

9. Acne treatment-

Generally, application of medicine happens topically over your skin, taken by mouth, or both for mild cases. Another option would be, Clear Pore Facial which carries ingredients that nourish your skin and make it healthy more quickly. Chemical peels and hydro dermabrasion like the DERMALINFUSION enhance skin tone, texture, and radiance as well as treat acne. When acne is more severe, oral Accutane may be prescribed.

All these procedures in cosmetic dermatology are very popular and useful in medicine. Indicating that, certain procedures do complement topical and oral treatments not only for photodamaged skin but also for other dermatoses such as acne, rosacea, scars, etc. So, these techniques not only grant quick results but also treat patients to nurture long-term benefits, by both preventing or treating dermatological conditions. Mainly, preserving healthy and youthful skin.
