Fildena Professional is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Its active ingredient is sildenafil citrate, which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
Visual disturbances are among the possible side effects of PDE5 inhibitors, including sildenafil citrate. These side effects are generally mild and temporary, resolving on their own without any long-term effects. However, it’s important to be aware of them and seek medical attention if they persist or worsen.
Blurred vision: Some individuals may experience blurred vision or difficulty focusing while taking Fildena Professional. This effect is usually transient and resolves without intervention.
Color vision changes: Sildenafil citrate can alter perception of color, causing a temporary shift in color vision. This typically involves a mild, temporary blue-green tint to vision.
Light sensitivity: Some people may become more sensitive to light while taking sildenafil citrate. They may find that bright lights, especially glare, are more bothersome than usual.
It’s important to note that these side effects are relatively rare and usually not severe. However, in rare cases, sildenafil citrate and other PDE5 inhibitors have been associated with more serious vision problems, such as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition that can cause sudden vision loss. This condition is very rare and has been reported in a small number of patients using PDE5 inhibitors, but a direct causal link has not been firmly established.
